It Finally Had To Happen...

Things have been very busy for the last few weeks. I am at the Bountiful Farmers Markets on Sundays from 10-4 and so far it has been OK. I am not doing other markets this holiday season as with working full time this keep me busy enough. We will see if I made the right decision, one never knows.

I did a collaboration with Misiyo Candles and can't wait to see the candles. Making the holders was great fun. I also made some more plates for Tryst Wine and Small Plates in St.Albert, if you have not checked this restaurant out you must the food and atmosphere is amazing!

So I gave this short post this unusual title because I just had by first Covid test. I have been so lucky that up until this time I did not have to get the test. However, this past weekend I came down with what I am sure is a cold, my usual type of cold, but went in for the test to be sure. Now as a full time teacher not having to quarantine or get tested was amazing, so 18 months in I had my first. I chose the rapid and the regular, which means two swabs in the nose. The nurse said they should not the first one really hurt. Maybe I have short sinuses... I know that mine are pretty inefficient at the best of times. I was told that I should have the results in around 15 minutes.....over an hour later still waiting.

This cold has really slowed me down, 18 months of no viruses and my body surrendered without so much as a whimper. This means that work I had intended to complete and get ready for the market is still patiently sitting on my shelves. I had hoped to have all my butter keepers and salt cellars ready to go but they will have to wait until next week.

Well another Covid year is almost over... will we have another one? Unfortunately, with the new variant it would seem so. Like everyone else I am tired of the restrictions but they are there in order
