I am a painter by trade having attended art school, focusing on drawing and painting. I am also an art teacher and this led me to pottery. I was teaching at a school that had a pottery wheel and a kiln. I enrolled in classes and a new journey and passion began. My pottery focuses mainly on functional pieces, though there are a few decorative pieces. I am strongly influenced by Danish mid-century pottery and the glazes of the 1970's. My work focuses on shapes that are highlighted by my own glazes. I am a small batch potter and all pieces are made by me from start to finish.
